Aix is a cultural center of Provence. Birthplace of Cezanne and Zola, it is an old university town with museums, galleries, and interesting architecture, along with fine dining, outdoor markets, etc. It can also be a base for visiting many other sites of Provence: Arles, Avignon, the Pont du Gard, Nimes, the Camargue, Cassis and the Calanques, and the Luberon are 45 minutes to an hour and half from Aix. Marseille is an easy bus or train ride or 30 minutes by car and visiting Mont St. Victoire is 15 minutes outside of town. Aix is three hours by high-speed train(TGV) from Paris.

Fourth floor, no elevator(63 stairs). Bedrooms have in-room air conditioners. Available February through November excluding mid-May and June. Actual dates of use to be agreed upon following auction.
