The fibers used to create these beautiful baskets are made from the Chambira palm and are collected in such a way as not to harm or damage the tree. Each basket is unique in color, weaving pattern, and intricate use of wood beads to make each basket a work of art.


These colorful baskets from the Amazon rainforest were created by the community of Esperanza in the Loreto region of Peru. In an area where more than 70% of the population lives in poverty, these baskets provide an excellent source of income and are also environmentally friendly. By purchasing this basket, you are supporting the local communities in Peru and perserving the rich biodiversity of the region.
