Description
Hand painted and signed giclee (ink and acrylic on canvas) by Daniel Peacock. Matted. Size: 11" X 14".
Daniel Peacock is a California native and Art Center graduate who currently resides and works in South Pasadena. His paintings are host to endearing critters (often buck-toothed hybrids of different species) who inhabit a richly conceived and colorful landscape where the sky is always blue, but something is definitely brewing just below the surface. His work has the feel of 1930’s animation and has been influenced by the work of Max Fleischer and the oldest of Disney cartoons. Daniel is currently doing design work for Public Radio Station KCRW, for whom he has illustrated compilation CD’s, event posters, and movie trailers. Locally, his work has been included in recent exhibitions at Mendenhall-Sobieski Gallery in Pasadena, La Luz De Jesus in Los Angeles, and BGH Gallery in Santa Monica and seen in "Los Angeles Times Magazine" and the "LA Weekly."
