GREAT drum teacher for my 4 year old!
| Our 4 year old wanted to learn the drums and I found Ivo through Craigslist. We were hesitant since we didn't know if he would be too young to keep a sustained interest in lessons. My initial call with Ivo convinced me that his teaching philosophy was totally in synch with us. His idea for this age is to make drums FUN and to not say "lessons", rather, say "make some music with Ivo". He gave us a demo lesson where he got to know Max and then gave us a game plan: keep the lessons short (so he will want more) and keep him coming for as long as he wants to come and "play". Max LOVES "making music with Ivo" and tries to think up new songs he can play for Ivo. Max also started reading notes too! Heck, if this is what Ivo can do for a 4 year old, imagine what he can do with older kids and adults! EXCELLENT teacher for younger children, very pleasant and just cool. |
