Moon Sycamore Tree donated by Davey Tree

Item Number: 1111
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Sycamore trees grew from seeds taken to the moon and back in 1971, aboard Apollo XIV. Astronaut Stuart Roosa, a former smoke jumper, wanted to fly something in honor of the U.S. Forest Service, and brought along seeds that were then planted at colleges and universities across the nation. Think of the fun you'll have watching your own Moon Sycamore grow towards the sky!
American Forests works to protect, restore, and enhance the natural capital of trees and forests and Davey Tree does a lot of work with them. Every $1 donated plants a tree.
