Early autumn is a special time of the year that attracts visitors from all over the world. Come spend a weekend amid the beauty of Lake Winnipesaukee.
Weekend Itinerary
Friday, September 10
- A warm welcome at the home of your hosts at 6pm. Your hosts will be happy to stow your gear in the room that will be yours for the weekend. The bright and airy room has a queen-size bed, sliding doors overlooking the lake and it's own private bath. After you're settled, a light dinner will be served.
Saturday, September 11
- Breakfast with your hosts including fresh eggs served the way you like, bacon, juice and coffee
- Your options for this morning: boat ride to Meredith or Wolfeboro to explore the shops of these quaint New England towns; or a trip to Castle in the Clouds to enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Winnipesaukee, outstanding gardens, waterfalls, or hike the trails of this 5,500 acre mountaintop estate. If you'd prefer, just hangout lakeside on the dock or in the hammock on the shady patio.
- Lunch on the deck
- Afternoon options: kayaking, sailing, waterskiing or wakeboarding; or the always-popular sunbathing or napping!
- Cocktails, wine, cheese and other appetizers on the deck overlooking the lake; sunset cruise; then a gourmet dinner cooked and served by your hosts.
Sunday, September 12
- Breakfast of country buttermilk pancakes made with fresh NH blueberries, bacon, juice and coffee
- Guests may choose to enjoy a quiet morning of kayaking or take it up a notch and get a workout with more intense water sports.
- Lunch on the patio
- Afternoon boat ride to see the world-famous "Steamboat Parade" at Lees Mills.
- Homeward bound. See you next year!
