Encaustic painting is the ancient technique of painting with wax. I use this technique because of the luminosity of the wax and the depth of color that can be achieved with it. This piece includes collage elements as well as the pigmented wax.

Linda Cordner received the Merit Award for her piece in the national, juried exhibition, "Out of the Blue" at the Attleboro Arts Museum in July, 2008. She has exhibited widely in the New England area and is featured in the newly published book, "Embracing Encaustic" by Linda Womack.
