Description
30" X 30" Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas
"This painting captures a moment in time, representing the energy and speed present as cyclists go through to the finish. The artist very effectively translates the concept of movement to the canvas, creating an especially horizontal composition in the usage of line. Outlines are blurred, so as to simulate the way the eye would perceive a quick-moving cyclist. This stimulating piece gives the viewer more than a photo finish – it captures both the visual experience and feeling of speed."
Fernande Penagos is and award winning artist, included among them is the Grumbacher Award. His inspiration to pursue the creative arts was his father, and internationally know cellist.
