Description
Archival pigment transfer print to frescoed wooden board 8'' x 8'' Framed in 10" x 10" off set white frame. Winter scene, snow covered row of 12 trees (Scituate MA), shades of blue gray and cream colored background.
"Transfer print of trees began as a cropped photograph taken on a snowy day in Scituate, Massachusetts. First print onto a polyester film with archival pigments, then the pigment print was transferred to a wet frescoed surface on a wooden board. When the fresco dried the piece was waxed with cold wax medium to protect the surface. Payne's Lane refers to the hue of light on the trees at that moment
