Description
22 3/4" x 30 3/4" Photograph, digital color 2008
This is a photo taken on the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail on Mount Washington. The composition centers on a rushing waterfall which, as it almost tumbles out of the picture plane toward the viewer, recedes far into the misty background. The colors are so dulled that the photo almost appears in black and white, making the glowing white background more apparent to the viewer. Upon considering the title, the rushing water surrounded by trees can take on a more spiritual meaning.
