Description

16 1/2" X 14" Pronto Plate monoprint (4 color plates)

A candle stick is placed in the center of this piece, surrounded by abstract shapes in what appears to be a window, beckoning you to come to the promise of it's warmth.  Avakian uses color to convey the heat of the flame and the cold of the outdoors, as if seen through a window, from the perspective of the candle stick.
