42" X 13" Monoprint
This monoprint is layered to convey a ‘transparency’ that refers to its title. Its subject matter contains a figure reaching vertically for a sunburst-shaped object exuding curving lines. The layered prints express a sense of ordered chaos in black, white, and red.
James Baker is a graduate of the design program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. A designer and photographer, Baker has been involved in web design and new technologies for over many years. In addition to community websites, he has designed promo packages and web presence for movies, and CD covers for national bands. He believes that "art best serves when the viewer is compelled to generate and speculate upon multiple meanings and possibilities.

This item can be shipped via UPS or picked up at the Museum from Nov. 11th - Nov. 18th. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping and handling costs.
