Description

16" X 20" Watercolor on watercolor canvas

This watercolor piece is a complex exploration in primary color and line. Occhino deconstructs the ordinary visual experience of a wooden bridge over water and plays with the crisscrossing lines of bridge architecture, supported by a lively primary color palette. The network of sketch-like lines and shapes almost becomes abstract, and the figure of a bridge is made apparent to the viewer by its broken reflection in the “water” below.
