Description

14 1/2" X 11 1/2" Pen and ink drawing

The artist’s pen and ink close-up of the tower on a Victorian home is executed in exquisite detail. Not only does it center on a real landmark – Attleboro’s County Street – but also achieves realistic textures and shadows. From the quick lines that make out tree branches to the outline of every individual shingle, it is truly the details that make this piece a gem.

Richard St. Jean has honed his craft on his own, using perspective and a God-given ability to infuse his work with tremendous energy and realistic detail.  Working in ink and oils since 1990, he recently switched to acrylic and is experimenting with landscape and still life. Richard is a lifetime resident of Attleboro and a frequent donor the museum art auction.
