A beautiful black and white photograph of the reeds along the banks of the Usui river and a stone emerging from the river.  Uehara has captured the scene, rock centered and at the bottom of the picture with the grasses or reeds above in such a way that the composition is almost symmetrical.

Masatomo (Tomo) Uehara has a BA from the International Christian University in Tokyo, Japan and an MFA from the City College of New York as well as a two year program with a concentration in Studio and Fine Art Photography ant the Japan Photographic Academy in Tokyo. Tomo teaches photography at Queens College and The City College of the City University of New York.
