Description
16" X 20" Watercolor
Lauro depicts this still life with a complex and visually stimulating combination of colors. The pears themselves are an appealing mix of pale pinks, olive greens, and yellows. The tinge of pink in the pears complements the deep blue-purple background, and offers a transition to the dominantly white tablecloth. This watercolor is delightfully executed, making its subject appear delicious enough to take a bite.
Sylvia Lauro is a resident of Plainville and a member of the Attleboro Arts Museum and the Rhode Island Watercolor Society where she enjoys learning by painting in groups. For several years she has studied with Jean Carvill.
