Description
18" X 14" Monotype
This piece is part of a series I have been developing for ther past 2 1/2 years. I have spent long periods of time working in a studio in Costa Rica in the rainforest. The hillside sits above extensive bamboo groves. Back home I have expanded the series across various mediums.
Nancy Cusack, a professor at Massachusetts College of Art, enjoys working with the manipulation of light and color, frequently with aerial imagery. Extensive travel across Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe provide both the landscape and mythology for her various series. Nancy's work is represented in private, corporate and institutional collections. Nancy has been invited to lecture at numerous colleges and conferences in the US and abroad and she has been invited to lecture twice at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. She has curated, organized and/or written for exhibitions in the U.S., Mexico and The Netherlands.
