Description
45" X 38" Acrylic on canvas
Kattman illustrates an impressionistic-inspired, natural scene that focuses on four flowering trees in the foreground. There is a brightness to the color scheme, accentuated by a gold frame, which we can also see in vibrant hues of pink, blue, and green. The artist additionally conveys a sense of movement throughout the piece, utilizing a slanted, crisscrossing broad brushstroke. Such movement and color may indeed remind the viewer of a blustery summer afternoon.
Richard Kattman is a professional landscape architect, photographer and fine artist who received his BFA at RISD in l973. He has exhibited his work throughout the Northeast, received numerous honors, and is represented by Boston Art, Inc., The Frame Shop in Natick and J. Todd Galleries of Wellesley, MA.
