By the use of digital imaging, Emond has almost completely departed from realistic photography in this piece, giving it more the look of abstract painting. Perhaps the receding blues fading into a deep navy background suggest some sort of ice cavern, with some white snow in the foreground. This is an intriguing piece for sure, with its simulated textures and fascinating abstract landscape.

Al Emond has been a member of the Attleboro Arts Museum since 2004.  He is a digital photographer and collagist.  His work has been juried into “Out of the Blue” in 2008 and the “Small Works” show in 2006.
