Description

12" X 12" Pastel

The subject matter of this tranquil pastel drawing elicits a peaceful feeling in nature. Honey employs a cool color scheme in mostly greens and pinks, with the occasional blue and purple. Her execution places an importance on texture: The murkiness of the water beneath the lily is achieved through a blurring and smudging of colors, which contrasts nicely with the sharp edges of the pink and white lily petals.
