Description
12" X 12" Pastel
This drawing of Honey’s is equally tranquil in its subject matter. Again she employs a cool color scheme in mostly greens and pinks, with the occasional blue and purple, and texture is just as critical to the execution of lilies and water. In this piece in particular, depth is created as the eye is drawn further into the piece by the deep blue reflection of vertical reeds in the background. These reeds create an interesting pattern of cool colors, and their shapes almost mimic the lily petals in the foreground.
Katherine Honey has a Masters in Public Administration from Suffolk University. She is the founder and curator of the Women at Work photography exhibit and co-founder of the Women at Work Museum and the Museum at the Mill. Katherine is a long time artist member of the Attleboro Arts Museum.
