Description

11" X 14" Watercolor

A pair of avocados rest on the counter waiting to be prepared.  One has been sliced open exposing the pit.  This watercolor is warm and inviting, with it's use of greens and browns.

Donna MacLure has no formal art training, only constant enrollment in classes and workshops with many local teachers whom she admires. These include Ben Macomber, Al Albertson, Gail Rose, Paul George and Nancy Howell among others. She paints nearly every day with an emphasis on color.  She is drawn to familiar everyday objects, so there is never a shortage of subjects to paint. She enjoys painting on location but she does most of her work in her studio in Wrentham, Massachusetts.  Donna traveled to Peru in 2008 for a group show with other members of the Attleboro Arts Museum
