When this piece was completed, Mim said her 12 year old daughter asked why she called it "Mae West in Disguise.  Mim showed her a picture of Mae West.  Lily's response was "Oh, I see what you mean".  She's a bright 12 year old.


Mim Brooks Fawcett joined the Attleboro Arts Museum as Executive Director in July 2006 and has focused her efforts on heightening the Museum’s profile in the region, providing arts programs to promising and professional artists, and offering diverse and memorable exhibitions. She has received training at New York City’s Art Student’s League, holds her BA with high honors in Graphic Design and Cinema from The State University of New York at Binghamton, and has also received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Boston University. Ms. Fawcett served as corporate Art Director of Boston-based firms for over 20 years, and has taught design at Northeastern and Boston Universities.  Her photographs have been shown in Boston galleries and her graphic design work can be found in the Attleboro Arts Museum’s portfolio of collateral material.
