16" X 13" Watercolor

This beautifully-executed watercolor painting depicts a bouquet of flowers in intricate detail. Coral pinks, mustard yellows, and lavender purples flood this exciting color palette, in a scene bursting with natural life. The choice to crop the scene in an oval-shape complements the flowers’ arrangement and adds to the overall sense of movement in the composition.

Joan Hume is a self taught artist for the most part.  She does enjoy taking classes from other artist/teachers when she has the chance.  She is a member of the Rhode Island Watercolor Society, and the Attleboro Arts Museum.  She enjoys exhibiting her work in these places.
