"Target the Tap Root" allows Mott to incorporate her background as a potter with a new found love for painting.  She also expresses her love of gardening with this particular piece.  Although highly abstract, it is a familiar representation of a common gardening chore.

Sarah Mott, a Visual Arts Adjunct Professor at Dean College in Franklin, earned her BFA in Ceramics from Mass College of Art. She is past president of the Attleboro Arts Museum, a current Board of Trustees member and continues to serve on the Executive Committee. A potter by profession, Sarah’s work is in the White House and in many public and private collections worldwide.  Sarah exhibited her work in Lima, Peru in 2008 and she was in 8 Visions in 2009.
