Deep Purple may be nowhere in sight, yet the title Smoke on the Water truly fits this striking image by photographic artist Pablo Mijares of Warwick.

The subject is actually spray, but it does provide a smoky aspect to the picture. Pablo, a director here at Rhode Island PBS, loves to look for beauty in nature - to capture it on film - and to find new ways of showing it to us through digital mirror imaging and processing.
