The Garden Hive is a top-bar beehive made of long-lasting cypress by Bill Rawleigh of Rawleigh Woodworking, Inc., a millwork manufacturer of 25 years in Julian, NC. It is painted sunny yellow or is left unfinished, features a closeable observation window, and comes with a stand. Gardeners interested in great pollination and helping honeybees live in a sustainable habitat will welcome this low-tech, low-maintenance, and attractive hive to their home, community, or farm garden. An owner’s manual comes with The Garden Hive. We urge everyone to contact their local beekeepers’ association as they are a most helpful resource. You’ll likely find a beekeeping class offered in your area each year before spring.
