On December 17, 2000, Vinatieri kicked this game-winning 24-yard field goal with 19 seconds remaining in overtime for the 13-10 win over the Buffalo Bills. It was the eighth game-winning kick of his career, performed amidst driving snow and wind gusts of over 40 m.p.h.  

Vinatieri has earned the reputation as one of the best clutch kickers in the history of pro football. His impressive playoff resume includes two last-minute, game-winning Super Bowl field goals, two game-winners in the divisional playoff round, and a record-tying five field goals in the 2003 AFC Championship Game.  Vinatieri is the most accurate kicker in Patriots history.
