Donna Kooler's Cross~Stitch Flowers [inside cover]

Do you love the old-fashioned charm of an English garden or the simple beauty of a field filled with wildflowers?

If so, you have something in common with most other cross-stitchers: a love of nature and the colorful blossoms that come in all shapes and sizes.

Flowers have been the inspiration for so many of Donna Cooler's designs. She's the grande dame of fine needlework and her many eager fans greet each new collection with enthusiasm. Now she focuses exclusively on stunning blooms in a series of more that 30 projects created by an outstanding group of award-winning designers.

New to cross-stitch? Need a refresher course? Turn to the general instructions for everything you need to know to get started, from choosing and preparing the fabric to stitching techniques and cleaning the finished design.

The coasters work up quickly and make great gifts. Give your favorite gardener several, including one with a magnificent violet and another with a pretty cyclamen that has a tiny butterfly perched on its stem.

Have a little more time? Try the spectacular wall hanging that catches the eye with a classic dahlia. The petals are so rich with shadow and detail, you might think it's growing right out of the picture!

Other projects include a Home Sweet Home Sampler, Evening Thistle Purse, and Yellow Rose Pillow.

Fill your home with the wonder of nature on one spectacular cross-stitch design after another.
