This vintage sterling silver case (4½ -by 3 inches) was made to look like an airmail letter (complete with an engraved Cincinnati address and a Christmas 1940 postmark); on its back is an engraved map of the continental United States. The gold-washed interior features a flip-up clip that might have once held cigarettes in place, but would be perfectly functional as a money clip and credit-card holder.
