Description

Own a unique piece of Cincinnati art. The renowned abstract artist Jack Meanwell (1919-2005) created works found in the Cincinnati Art Museum and galleries throughout the Midwest. The late painter was also a venerable teacher at the Cincinnati Art Academy. This 1995 painting, a turbulent, sun-washed scene, has bright seaside colors, turquoise water and sky, sandy shore and white foam. The gold frame (26-by-22 inches) and neutral matte perfectly set off the action of Meanwell’s powerful brushstrokes and thick paint. A true Cincinnati treasure.
