Birding and Michigan Maritime History, or “Weekend in Paradise” – Paradise, Michigan that is!
A weekend stay (Friday-Sunday) for two people in the beautifully restored 1923 U.S. Coast Guard Lifeboat Crews Quarters at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society; light breakfast included. The package also includes a guided tour of the Museum, Lighthouse Quarters, USCG restored Boathouse, one year membership in Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society and dinner for two at the Tahquamenon Falls Brewery & Pub (aka “Camp 33”).

Dates: April through early June or late August through early October. Expires October 31, 2010.
Optional: Complimentary pre-trip accommodations for Thursday available at CNC. A successful bidder from out of area could arrive by plane at Midland-Bay City-Saginaw Airport on Thursday, stay in Chippewa Nature Center housing overnight, rent a car and drive to Paradise, Michigan (five hour drive) on Friday. Air and ground transportation not included.
