Wil Taylor focuses on the feminine spirit with "The Secret Garden."

Taylor credits a mixture of mythology and comic book art for his style, pieces built from the use of bold lines. It's a style he cultivated about three years ago, he says, and it's easy enough to trace the roots to his degree in graphic design. It's not so easy to tell that he used to teach art to middle school kids.

"Tucson's art scene is an exciting place to be," Taylor says. And he's in the thick of it in his UA-area studio at 525 E. Helen St.
