(1) 3 Foot Sub and Fun Pak of eegees.

Enhance your celebration with a 3 Foot sub and a Fun Pak of eegees.  Tucsonans know that eegees is a refreshing frozen fruit beverage guaranteed to cool you off on the hottest of days.

In 1971 two enterprising young men, Ed Irving and Bob Greenberg,
pooled their resources and bought a used vending truck.

Ed and Bob carefully cultivated their vending truck business into what is now a 21-location restaurant chain that specializes in, among other items, their signature frozen fruit drink. In the beginning you might have met Ed or Bob serving their lemon eegee’s drink in front of high schools, at sporting events and concerts. And today you can still order the same lemon eegee’s that Bob and Ed first started selling in ’71. Fortunately, there are now more flavors to choose from (lemon can get old after 35 years) and you can order a sandwich or other baked goods to compliment your ‘eegee’s,’ but it’s essentially the same exact cup of brain freezing fruit goodness that was served truck-side over 35 years ago.

eegee’s has grown significantly since it’s earlier days. Not only has the chain expanded to 21 Tucson locations (Yes, the vending trucks have been retired) but it’s also paired this growth with a true commitment to social and environmental involvement. Since its inception, eegee’s has donated time, food and money to local charities as well as instituting the community recycling program ‘Recycling for People First!’ To learn more about eegee’s social involvement please visit the 'Community Involvement’ page.

In 1992 Ed and Bob decided that ordering their ingredients from distributors wasn’t the right solution for providing the freshness and consistent quality they insist upon, so they opened the eegee’s food preparation facility. This is where all of the eegee’s food is prepared fresh and delivered to the many locations daily.

In 2006 the eegee’s restaurants changed hands from Ed Irving and Bob Greenberg to the O’Connor family (CEO Foods, Inc.), with Tom O’Connor as the new president, thus continuing the family owned and operated tradition that eegee’s was founded on.
