Give yourself or someone you care about the gift of expertly taught drawing classes.  The mission of The Drawing Studio is to teach, demonstrate, share, and encourage the art studio practices from which the skills of visual intelligence are cultivated by people at any age or walk of life.

In 1992, artist Andrew Rush and 20 art friends began The Drawing Studio in Tucson, AZ, to offer instruction and fellowship to artists/art students outside traditional institutions. We are fast becoming a 24/7 center for art studio practice. We view the practice of art as a life-long exploration that includes continuous learning from each other.

he Drawing Studio offers a wide range of classes, workshops, and other activities for youth, ages 9-12 and teens, ages 13-18. The Youth Program is directed by teaching artist Betina Fink, and features some of the most skilled teaching artists in Tucson. The goal of the Youth Program is to develop skilled visual thinkers for the 21st century.  The Drawing Studio also offers a wide range of classes and workshops in a variety of formats and locations to meet the needs of busy adults. The Drawing Studio offers no degree programs or grades. People continue to study at TDS because of the value they receive working with our skilled teaching artists.
