This is a three-hour, non-stop narrated sightseeing cruise roundtrip from Peekskill Riverfront, Green Park in Peekskill, NY


You will travel north toward West Point.  You will pass Long Island, sail under the Bear Mountain Bridge, and pass historical site such as Fort Montgomery Battle Site, Manitoga, Highland Falls, the Garrison Landing, the United States Military Academy at West Point and Constitution Island.


The upper deck has ample seating and is partly covered by a canopy, affording both sun and shade for those enjoying the magnificent view of the Hudson Highlands.

The enclosed lower deck has a maximum capacity of 100 passengers and spacious picture windows, allowing for pleasurable viewing of the passing scenery. There are chairs, tables and benches, and an area for dancing.


COMMANDER has the distinction of being the last operating vessel that served in the U.S. Navy in World War I, and joins the battleship TEXAS and the battlecruiser OLYMPIC, as the only remaining ships from that era. She displays the World War I Victory Medal as a token of her service.


COMMANDER was listed in 1984 on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places, and is also listed in the International Register of Historic Ships (page 279), Great American Ships (page 121) and the Dictionary of American Fighting Ships, Vol. II.
