This auction item is for $400 in gift certificates to L Designs Hair Salon in Simsbury.  If you haven't heard here is their story:

After more than 30 years of serving a dedicated customer base in Simsbury, Linda Weiss-Gelineau has opened her own salon at The Courtyard in Simsbury center. 

She is professionally certified in the application of hair extensions and has taught for Beauty Seminars International. Highly skilled at foiling applications, she has developed a number of her own techniques. 

She has designed and directed hair and makeup packages for hundreds of proms and weddings, both in the studio and on location. In addition to her styling work for catalogs, her designs have been featured in international publications such as Total Image Magazine and Inspire.  

Oh yeah, and they've also won a Hartford Advocate Best of 2008 award.
