This Disney Original Limited Edition Serigraph Cel, "Mickey and Minnie as Ice Skaters", is a scene from the Walt Disney Studios original animation drawings used to produce the classic Disney animation short On Ice from the 1930s. Engraved Disney Seal in lower right corner. This Animation Art cel, Sericel size is 14 x 11 inches.
Sometimes called serigraph cels, the serigraphy process involves silk-screening each individual color to the cel, one at a time. Every distinct shade is a separate screen, and a separate pass in the procedure. As a result of this fine art operation, each color is flawlessly reproduced. Sericels are also created in limited quantities, typically 2500 to 5000 pieces.
