The 2005 “Augusto” Barbera is a traditional, d’Asti-style Barbera, with tempting flavors of Ripe plums and blackberries with a long lush finish. This wine is a blend of 88% Barbera, 6% Primitivo, 4% Teroldego & 2% Tempranillo. This wine is a big, juicy wine, if served while young, it is necessary to decant the wine for 15 – 20 minutes; if aged for 2 – 5 years. This wine is wonderful by itself or with BBQ fare with a Maple BBQ sauce, grilled pork tenderloin and lasagna.
