Join Bill Starr for a transformational acting class on January 4 and 11 for three hours each week as he reviews:
*how to audition?
*how to deal with a callback?
*how to do a cold reading?
*how to do a monologue?
*sharpening the creative tools
*scene study
Bill has appeared in 15 original Broadway shows in NYC, and began directing and choreographing many industrial show for Fortune 500 companies all over the world. He was then recruited back to the West Coast, where he was born and raised in the Bay Area, to be the production director/choreographer of a major company in San Francisco to create productions promoting their product for their sales force in Vienna, Paris, London, Monte Carlo, Bali, Indonesia, and every major city in the U.S.
Bill has directed/choreographed productions for several organizations in the Bay Area including Molly Brown, A Chorus Line, Narnia, Into the Woods, Oliver, CATS, Fiddler on the Roof, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and the Bay Area premiere of Willy Wonka. He has also directed plays like Miracle Worker, Short Eyes, Maybe baby, It's You, and A Girls Guild to Chaos.
He was the recipient of the Bay Area Theater Critics Circle Outstanding Achievement Award for his work in Irving Berlin, In Revue which played in San Francisco.
Bill is in his 9th Year at Stanford University, in the Lively Arts department.
