Chicago-born Carlo Beninati was recognized a talented sports player and an artist from a young age. He soon chose to concentrate on his artistic talents, instead of the avenues in sports that were available to him. Beninati eventually became a commercial artist, work which taught him the marketing and promotional skills that benefited his career as a portraitist. Beninati's famous sports portraits are collected internationally and are also sold to benefit some of the celebrities' favorite causes.
