ARTIST STATEMENT

Trained as a painter, I have adopted the archaic form of handmadefelt as my creative canvas. In this medium, saturated colors migrate through the depth of the entire structure, resulting in sophisticated and sensuous surfaces. I enhance these surfaces with stitching, mono-printing, appliqué, and found objects, devising a language of symbolic images and archetypal forms.
