Description

Enjoy one full week at the gorgeous cottage South of Eden in Otter Creek, Maine (Bar Harbor area).  The cottage is available October 16-23, 2010 - just in time for foliage season!

South of Eden is a lovely, fully-restored 75-year old cottage with proximity to the best Mount Desert Island has to offer. Nestled between Eagle's Craig Mountain, one of the beautiful hiking trails of Acadia National Park, and Otter Creek, part of Acadia's Park Loop Road, the cottage offers many activities within short traveling distance.

South of Eden is also just 5 miles south of bustling downtown Bar Harbor, with great shopping, dining and entertainment. And in the other direction, just 3 miles, is Seal Harbor and the Seal Harbor sand beach.

The cottage features 3 bedrooms (one queen bed, four twin beds), two bathrooms, full dining room, living room, den and kitchen. Recently restored with new appliances, fixtures, and furnishings, the original hardwood floors have been preserved, along with many elements of its 1930's charm. Amenities include dishwasher, BBQ grill, cable TV, linens, microwave, coffeemaker- everything needed for a full week's housekeeping.

The property features a tended greenhouse, with beautiful annuals in bloom outside and vegetables growing inside.

Truly an ideal location for an Acadia vacation, in a comfortable, modernized cottage as much apart of the Island history as the mountains surrounding it.
