Neville Francis has been playing to rave reviews. He expertly incorporates a diverse mix of musical styles and Caribbean rhythms. But its presentation is rooted in reggae-lovers rock, roots & culture and dancehall.
About the Artist…His music however is the original songs of Jamaican born lead singer, songwriter and guitarist Neville Francis. Neville Francis’ recording and performing career, which extends over three decades began in musically dynamic and nurturing environment of Jones Town in Kingston. There he learned to sing harmonies, started playing the guitar and had his initial experience in the recording studios and with live performances.
After moving to Canada, Francis hooked up with Toronto-based reggae band, The Sattalites, where he penned tracks for several of the band’s releases. As a member of that band he won two Juno Awards (the Canadian Music Industry Award), In 1990 he participated in Reggae Sunsplash in Montego Bay, Jamaica and Reggae on the River in Redwood California.
Since relocating to Buffalo in 1993, Francis has become a well know and respected presence in the local reggae scene most notably with local reggae favorites Strictly Riddim and The Riddim Posse.
In 2002 Francis released his debut solo CD “Good To Be Alive.” And is newest CD “Love Somebody Today.”
