Description

This a true piece of history for any for any baseball fan but a particular steal for any Philadelphia Phillies fan.

The winner of this item will receive a photograph autographed by Eric Bruntlett, documenting his unassisted triple play against the New York Mets on Sunday, August 23, 2009.

The play was indeed history making, as it was only the second game ending unassisted triple in major baseball league history, and the 15th overall, as Eric Bruntlett was able to get final three outs on his own thus securing the victory for the Philadelphia Phillies’ over the New York Mets. The final score: Phillies 9 and Mets 7.

Watch the Eric Bruntlett triple play video and see what happened when he caught a line drive from Jeff Francoeur, tagged second base, doubled off Luis Castillo, and went on to tag Daniel Murphy as he attempted to run to second base.
