Rachel Faro is an extraordinary poet, singer/songwriter, and a Grammy-nominated record producer.  She has recorded three albums of classic songs with global elements such as Celtic airs, Indian instruments and Slavic harmonies and stunning lyrics.  She is also well-known as one of a handful of women record producers: she has produced over thirty albums of world, Latin, Cuban, blues, folk and New Age music, of which three have received Grammy Nominations.  Her productions include recordings by artists such as Sammy Figueroa, Yomo Toro, Eddie Palmieri, Los Van Van and Vocal Sampling    She is also the president of Ashe Records, a ground-breaking world music record label.  She is also the proud mother of singer/songwriter Anandi and the director of the Miami Shambhala Buddhist Meditation Group.
