David Tauler is the 2007 Grand Prize and Lennon Award Winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for R&B.  This year Mr. Tauler led his band, House of Echo, to win Washington FOX 5’s DMV Idol, earning him and his group a recent feature on FOX Morning News.  Mr. Tauler is proficient in well over 15 musical wind instruments from around the world including the saxophone, flute, clarinet, recorder, trumpet, trombone, and harmonica.  Mr. Tauler has a degree in music performance from the University of Maryland where he attended on full academic and music scholarships.  As an undergraduate at Maryland, Mr. Tauler was the concerto soloist and winner of the prestigious Homer Ulrich Award for classical music.  Mr. Tauler also serves as the youth minister of his church and is committed to teaching Biblical concepts such as hard work and integrity to his music students.
