Description

Here's a chance to see the evolution over three years of one of the best-reviewed American "cult" wines. The Wine Spectator says: "Kosta Browne's Pinots show a signature style. The wines are uniformly intense, with ripe, amplified flavors, yet notably elegant and exquisitely balanced with great nuance and detail, especially on the finish." The lot includes one bottle each of the 2006, 2007, and 2008 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. The 2007 vintage received a 95 score from Wine Spectator and was ranked #4 on their list of 2009's Top 100 Wines. The 2006 scored a 97 from the Pinot Report, and early word is that the 2008 (which is just now being released) are another outstanding vintage. These wines are generally available only to members of the winery's mailing list, which has a waiting list of many years, so this is a rare chance to see what all the excitement is about.
