Schedule two 30 minute private voice lessons with Arden Sugarman, in her private studio.

Arden holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Music, with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. Having maintained a private vocal studio for over thirty years, her experience includes nine years on the Preparatory and Adult Extension Faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The recipient of performance awards and grants, Ms. Sugarman has a background in recital and opera. She has been an Apprentice Artist at the Santa Fe Opera and was a finalist of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Awards.

Instruction includes heavy emphasis on building a healthy vocal technique. Breathing, vowel placement, relaxation exercises, vocalises and attention to the concept of "body as instrument" are core to her practice.

Arden's students are singing classical vocal repertoire- art song and opera- as well as musical theater that requires a "legitimate" voice. She also teaches choristers how to maintain a healthy instrument while singing under the demands of conductors and rehearsal schedules.
