Gordon Biersch co-founder Dean Biersch has gone back to his roots with Hopmonk Tavern in downtown Sebastopol. A national historic landmark has become a modern take on a rustic pub with Douglas fir floors and comfy booths.

Just at the intersection of Highway 116 and Highway 12 in Sonoma County, Hopmonk offers innovative and seasonal gastropub fare, craft beers, plus a 55-seat classic beer garden to enjoy it all in, and an acoustic performance stage for music.

To complement the wide selection of fresh local, regional and  international beers, Chef Billy Reid's one-page tavern menu celebrates  both traditional and innovative pairings of beer and food, offering fresh, beer-compatible cuisine with an emphasis on local suppliers of  fish, produce, cheese and meats.
